FINDING WORDS FOR WONDER

Join me for 30 days of this gentle writing practice. We will sit still in nature, see what we notice, and write it down. Together, we will place our attention on nature, and use this writing practice to bring calm into our days.

Each day we take a few minutes to connect with the natural world around us. As we sit quiet and still, what do we notice? What do we see, hear, sense and feel? As we find the words to express the experience, we connect our inner world to the world around us.

Each day you’ll receive reflections on nature writing and poetry practices. You sharing your poetry and reflections is warmly welcomed, but optional. You get to choose!

I invite you to join me for this beautiful practice that makes poetry possible.

HOW IT WORKS

In a private online space, each day for 30 days you’ll receive:

  • A reflection from me on nature, writing, and presence

  • A gentle prompt or invitation to start your own writing

  • A space to share your own writing, reflections, or to simply receive

  • My acknowledgement and reflections on any writing you share

You can complete the practice in just 15 minutes a day, or linger longer if you wish. There is no pressure, and no expectations. Everybody participates in the way that best suits them.

Meditation is old and honorable, so why should I not sit, every morning of my life, on the hillside, looking into the shining world?
