Hello to you!

Last year I spent a day letterpress printing my poem “Your Words”. I wrote it in 2017, as an acknowledgement of the power of writing and sharing our work.

I handset the type letter by letter (if you look close at the photograph of the type case you might be able to pick out the words, backwards!). 

I printed copies on a platen press, powered by treadle—and my foot! The whole process was meditative and transforming. The prints I made hold all of the energy of that day, the energy of my gratitude to those of you who share your words in the world, and my belief in those of you who long to do so.
